Sony addresses PlayStation 4 ‘blue light of death
Posted: November 21, 2013 in Free FormTags: http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/19/tech/gaming-gadgets/sony-playstation-4-issues/index.html?hpt=hp_bn5
PS4, sold more than 1 million units in North America in its first 24 hours, according to Sony. But with any massive hardware roll out, some glitches are sure to surface. And the PS4 is no exception. Sony has addressed what some are calling the “blinking blue light of death,” an error that occurs when customers try to power up. “Just brought home my brand new PS4 and when (I) turn it on all it does is blink blue …,” one user wrote on Sony’s PlayStation support site. “I am overly upset that I spent most of my day waiting in line in the cold. Not a happy customer to say the least.” Sony had already acknowledged “a handful of people have reported issues” with their new console. The number of affected systems, Sony said, amounted to less than 0.4% of the units that have been shipped — or less than 4,000 out of 1 million. This not a surprise because Sony is gets hacked and glitched more than Microsoft. That’s why I will be sticking Xbox and Microsoft.

NBA 2K14 or NBA Live 14 (old post)

NBA 2K14 on next-gen is, in fact, a totally different package than the one that released in October for PS3 and Xbox 360. Instead of the LeBron Path to Greatness and Crews, the next-gen version introduces several new modes (and a refreshingly simplified redesign of the menus). Notably, MyCareer has you create a player and take him through a everything from a pre-draft showcase to Draft Night to working your way up from benchwarmer to starter. NBA Live 14 is very bad and its funny that EA Sports owns 2K Sports. NBA Live use to be so good what happen. 2k13 (left)….2k14 (right)

Feds charge six more in $45 million cybercrime ring
Posted: November 19, 2013 in TechnologyTags: http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/18/technology/cybercrime-arrests/index.html
Five of the six men were arrested in Yonkers, N.Y., and are scheduled for arraignment Monday in Brooklyn federal court before Judge Robert Levy. Ferreira fled after learning his friends were arrested and remains a fugitive, according to officials. 14 defendants have gone on a ramp page steal debit card account information, and withdraw unlimited amounts of cash from ATMs worldwide, the prosecutors said. They said that the New York Cell withdrew about $2.8 million in a matter of hours. It’s the second largest theft on record in New York City, surpassed only by the 1978 Lufthansa heist made famous in the movie “Goodfellas.” This is very crazy i didn’t expect to here this but thankful the government stopped and found the people. That’s a lot of stolen money just from cyber crime. In the picture below is a released photo of a suitcase stuffed with $800,000 in allegedly stolen cash.

Six people died in Illinois, according to authorities, and as many as 200 people were injured statewide. Some 120 of those injuries came in Washington, said Jon Monken, director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. Seven of those injuries were “traumatic,” Monken said. The storm destroyed or seriously damaged as many as 400 homes in Washington alone, Gov. Pat Quinn told reporters Monday.Damage was also reported in the adjacent northern Illinois towns of Diamond and Coal City, in Champaign County in central Illinois, in southern Illinois’ Washington County and in Massac County — in the extreme southern tip of the state. Hopefully Illinois has a safe recovery.

Yesterday Night…Branden Dawson tipped in a miss with less than six seconds left, and the No. 2 Spartans hung on for a 78-74 victory over top-ranked Kentucky and its latest cast of phenoms in the first game of the Champions Classic on Tuesday night.”We want to be No. 1 at the end of the season,”Keith Appling said. “Not the beginning.” Kentucky, too. After trailing by as much as 13 in the second half, looking like the freshmen most of them are, the Wildcats (2-1) showed why there’s so much hype surrounding them. Julius Randle almost beat the Spartans single-handedly, scoring 23 of his 27 points in the second half and making a jumper with 42 seconds left that cut Michigan State’s lead to 76-74.
(Next Game)Wiggins scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half, outplaying Parker down the stretch and helping the fifth-ranked Jayhawks knock off No. 4 Duke 94-83 on Tuesday night. “Big players make big plays,” Wiggins said. “I think our whole team, whoever was on the court, every possession we made a big play. That’s why we came out on top.” Parker, a former prep star at nearby Simeon High School, had 27 points, nine rebounds and two steals in a spectacular return to his hometown. But it was Wiggins who made the biggest plays in the final minutes of a taut thriller between two storied programs. Will This be the final four? Well Duke is my favorite and were going all the way.
How Corporate America fights hackers

They go undercover, infiltrate secretive hacking groups and occasionally even build personal profiles of their attackers everything short of physically hunting them down themselves. The old method of constructing defenses and waiting for a strike doesn’t cut it anymore, according to security professionals who advise Fortune 500 firms. Cyberattacks have gotten far more effective, especially now that hackers are increasingly being funded by foreign governments. Its good that people and the government is cracking down on this.
